A bit about me
I’ve always been drawn to building things and understanding how they work. Over the years, I've built custom applications, scripts, APIs, and reporting tools, and managed databases, proxies, firewalls, and IT infrastructure. I enjoy solving real problems that are meaningful.
Lately, a big focus of mine has been SPAWT, a platform I am building with my wife to support animal shelters, rescues, adopters, and foster networks. She works as an animal services coordinator, so I have a direct view into the challenges people face and the limitations of current software solutions in that space. What started as a side project has grown into something that is helping shelters operate more smoothly and help more animals find homes, which has been incredibly rewarding.
Outside of work, life is pretty simple. I spend a lot of time with my wife, son and two cats. I usually have a side project going, a new obsession (recently that has been split between Factorio, golf or fantasy football) or something new I'm learning.
